I'm working on a 110 L-D in .243 and need to put a new stock on. I have never worked with the older 110s and the "L-D" is proving to hard diagnose as to what stock it needs. I know the "L" stands for 'left" but what does the "D" signify? I'm looking to put a Boyd's thumb hole stock on and I am unsure as to which one to buy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The serial number is 123497.

The reason I asked is because some of the 110D's used a lower profile stock. This would depend if it's the newer style, made after 1966 or the older style. According to the serial#, it was made after '66, but some of the "D"'s were actually made before '66 and sent out for engraving and other custom touches and never returned to the factory until after the changeover, and thus were given serial numbers of the current time. A picture would be helpful.

It will be listed as a 110 DL, I believe. They were listed in at least three different series. The main thing is to measure the distance between the action screws. That measurement along with internal mag box style and the left hand will take care of it.
