Its nice to know I aint the onlyone who likes Stainless lugs, nuts, bolts triggerguards on a blued action. Adds a touch of class.

Scha-wingggggg!!!
Who, what, when, where, and how much?!?
Used to be a place that did custom bolt fluting - spiral, helix, etc. but I can't find a link to 'em any more.

I saw them when I was searching... don't think its the same outfit (name doesn't sound familiar), but its definitely a more professional looking website - maybe they stepped up a little ;)

As for just polishing the bolt it's pretty easy. I use some fine sandpaper (1500 grit) to polish out the "Savage" laser engraving and to smooth every thing up. Then use some Flitz on a rag and buff away. A few beers later you'll have it shining like chrome.

Not sure what Flitz is but, I have some medium and fine grease type vale lapping compound if that would work and also a Dremel tool with buffing pads? Thanks! :)

If you're just looking to polish off the laser etching or some minor scratching a scotch brite pad makes quick work of it.

Did a few Remingtons at work for friends too! The Savage looks better though. Although the Sendero with black paint in the spiral flutes of the bolts matches the barrel nicely ;D
