Ever try to mount Savage pre-fit barrels on a side-by-side dangerous game rifle ?

The barrel nuts and space required for the barrel nut wrench causes a pain in regulating the barrels for point of impact.

Some may argue that the barrel nuts are not required for a double gun, but one must stay with tradition.

What's a Savage without a nut ?

And having interchangeable extractors which will handle anything from a 22 K Hornet to a 600 Nitro on the same action ain't none too easy either.

The Holland & Holland people just don't have a sense of adventurism like they used to.

Hey Art!

Maybe you need to abandon the Brit's and strike up a conversation with the Austrians. If they can come up with a single-action revolver in .600 Nitro Express (http://www.tonyrogers.com/weapons/pfeifer-zeliska.htm) I'm sure they can handle your little double gun project. LOL

Putting double AccuTriggers on a double rifle ain't no easy thing either.

"strike up a conversation with the Austrians"

Actually, I am currently in Germany -- not too far from Austria.

Might be something to do this weekend.

One of these days I might actually make it over to Austria. I have a friend over in Seefeld that I'd like to visit and I'd love to rent a motorcycle to do some riding in the Alps.

One of these days...after I get rich and famous from this website....LOL
(don't worry, I'm not holding my breath)
