Guys to take a savage mag apart to change followers do you just pry it apart with screwdrivers?

Sounds good to me. Try squeezing the sides in and twisting up.

Be aware that the 223 mags are a real PAIN to get the bottom off of -- at least on the metal ones ; the 308 mags are easy ; as stated just squeeze and pop it apart.
