New Savage Precision Target Action

I get to pickup my new Savage action tomorrow. I noticed that on the left side of the action there is some "Legalese" that does not seem to be etched or stamped in the metal. Has anyone found a way to remove this writing without otherwise marking the action?

The warning is laser etched, the only way to remove it is sandpaper and elbow grease.

Bummer. I have two warnings. One is etched to the point that you can feel it, the other is not. I have to wonder why they would use two different processes.
