You shouldn't use the "R" word here, LOL.

They are made in the same plant as the marlin rifles

I held one yesterday even with the plastic stock it's a better looking and feeling gun than a marlin reminds me or a updated 788 with a savage barrel nut.

Time will tell if it's worth a hoot. With Remington's track record with the 710 and 770, I'm not holding my breath.

I have had several ppl bring me their 710/770's to try and get them to shoot and I cant figure out how Remington sells these things.

I agree, I think this time they got it right. Thinking out loud my bet is after the design gain acceptance those brand loyal types will start to modify them and then its on like Donkey Kong.

The next question is, who will start another forum RifleShooters.com; Brotherhood of the Barrel Nut Remix

I actually own a 770 and to be honest its not a bad rifle. It was cheap, its light, its durable and it shoots somewhat close groups. Really not as bad as people make it out to be. I've never had a problem with it. Now to compare my 770 to my Savage, well there is definitely a difference in accuracy and quality. I definitely prefer my Savage over the 770 but for what the 770 is, its not that bad.

LOL...... I thought there was an infraction for that but i cant find it...LOL

Funny how "R" lovers would always say how the barrel nuts were ugly and the accutrigger is junk, but now that "R" has them theyre awesome:rolleyes:

"That's what scares me, with their quality issues lately."

Are you talking about the lever actions or the bolt actions. The levers are made at the Ilion, NY plant. I haven't heard of QC problems with the bolt actions. I had an X7 and it shot and functioned very well. I sold it because I never could warm up to the stock it had on it and I wanted a stainless one instead of blued. But it functioned flawlessly.

Hhmm, ok. Like I said, I'd heard of it with the levers but not the bolt actions.
