I am about to pull the trigger on a new barrel for a stainless savage long action I have laying around will I run into issues with a 30" barrel and my standard shank action?

It will tend to be a little nose heavy but that is the only problem you should have.

I have been using 30 in barrels on standard shanks for many years and never had an issue.
