We plan on some coyote hunting using rifles and shotguns. The shells I am going to be using are 12ga. 3" with #4 buckshot (41 pellets). Does any one have any recommendations for a choke tube? I am shooting a Winchester Super X3 with a 24" barrel.

Plus 1 on what Steve said, I usually run my turkey choke in my old Beretta when hunting yotes.

Here is an extensive, if not excessive discussion of chokes for coyotes.

GC on Predator Masters definitely knows his stuff!! Cool guy too!

My SX2 does fairly well with the turkey choke. It is the stock tube that came with the NWTF edition, but I can't remember the specific constriction.

I wasted about 15 bucks in shells patterning off of a bench though. I didn't realize I was cheating my cheek weld and blowing the patterns high. :-[ When I shot it like I would on stand things went a lot better. Not everyone is as stupid as I am, just thought I would throw that out there in case it could save another guy a few bucks.

Something with a .660-.675 should work.

Why not just 00 buck shot OR if you have one a shot gun with rifling as have seen sabots accurate out to 100 yards. or not a good idea for the pelt.
