My new Model 12 VLP DBM

I just received my new Model 12 VLP in .308 and I am very impressed. A couple things I wanted to pass along was:

1-The stainless is bead blasted and not the bright stainless. Very happy about that. Savage's website shows the bright stainless finish.

2-The trigger came set at 2 lbs. 3 oz. I adjusted it to minimum like my model 14, but it went to 6 oz. I adjusted back up to 1 lb. and checked safety operation and bolt closing without sear tripping, everything works good.

Just a few things that I didn't expect, but very happy it is what it is.

Good choice! I have one in 300 WSM and love it also.

I also have one in 300 WSM and it shoots great! However, mine is not bead blasted.

they're a little hard to come by in 300 wsm, I assume they just make short runs of them every year.
