I'm looking to do some long range precision shooting on my hog hunter 308 out to 1000 yards, and need to make the order today. What base / rail would you guys recommend?

I just replaced my heavy steel mount on my Mod 10 tactical because it was to high, and replaced it with an aluminum one piece by Ironsighter, Model IRL-ACCU-SA - I purchased it at Midway. I like it because there are two versions and both have cut outs, one for a right handed shooter and one for a left handed shooter.

By cut outs I mean you have 1/2 of the base cut out so access to the chamber is easier, it is about as close to having a two base set as you can get and still have the rigidity of a one base. I might add this base is made of aluminum if that matters to you. For me, being made of aluminum does not matter as my scope rings are 30mm aluminum and most of the scope is aluminum also.

I just put this mount on my Mod 10 Tactical and will be mounting another one on my Mod 10 FP-SR later today.

Egw 20moa base.

I run the 20moa on my long range rifles and the 0 moa on my 22-250

Ordered the EGW 20 MOA mount.

Now for Rings.

I already have a 2.5x10x44 Vortex PST Scope on the way....

I keep buying Burris tactical rings myself. I have medium height on the 50mm objective Scopes and think I can get away with low rings. Anything smaller in sure low rings will work. The vortex rings are also nice but more money.

EGW 20 moa for sure, However they are about 6 weeks behind on orders. Warne makes a nice one piece 20 moa which Midwayusa had in stock last week for $92.00.

I got my 20moa EGW through Joe Bob outfitters for $32 plus shipping.
