Recommendations for extra high 30mm rings for 110?

Hi guys,
I'd like to put another scope on my 1993 .308 Savage 110 to replace the piece of junk it came with, and as I have a massive Norconia 2.5-10x56 lying around, I might as well use that one!

It came with a s/h rifle that I bought and had some really bad aluminium rings (with stripped threads!) so obviously I won't be using these. Ideally I'd like to buy some steel rings, but am unsure as to which are best, or indeed if it would be a good idea to replace the bases at the same time (with a one piece rail).

Has anyone got any recommendations?

DNZ one piece highs. Best bang for the buck. Rock solid and light weight. I have four of them and they flat out work better than any mount/ring combo.

Thanks for the idea, but I can't seem to find any for a flat back 110 and a 30mm tubed scope.

I managed to mount the scope today with some Weaver rings that I had, but there is no possibility for adjustment of eye relief at all. It's okay looking through it, but the scope is closer to my eye than on my other rifles, so I'm a bit worried about 'scope eye'.....

Mind you the stock is about an inch shorter than my other rifles too, perhaps a recoil pad is the way forward?

A one-piece rail and Burris Signature Zee rings should get you the appropriate eye relief adjustment you need. I happen to like EGW rails, but there are others that work just as well.

I know nothing about that particular scope. If it has very short eye relief, you may get scope eye no matter what you do.

I've actually been looking for EGW rails since I saw another thread where you had recommended them. Some places seem to have them listed as restricted export items though....?

Weaver also makes one piece rails for Savage rifles.

I don't know if your action is a long or short action rifle.

How hard is it for you to import from Norway or Sweden?
Would any of these help?

That might be the way forward. Thanks for the idea Thomae.

Here is how she is looking at present, with Safari Ching sling and comb raiser. As you can see it's a pretty big scope! I may have to remove the foresight as well as it gives a distracting shadow in the scope view.

One thing I have had to do on a couple of rifles was to make room for the front scope bell.
I seem to have to mount my scopes rather far to the rear and sometimes the front bell is actually over the rail.
On one rifle, I cut the front of the rail to make clearance, on another, I flattened the rail by grinding/sanding off a few of the picatinny "bumps" on the top of the rail.
