Has anyone used this stock with a criterion light varmit barrel?I got my son a 7mm-08 light varmit barrel for his gun.he has a stagger feed short action model 11 now.He has looked at the Boyds varmit thumbhole and likes the Boyds Featherweight thumbhole one better. What do yall think will it fit?

I have one fit in a Boyds classic stock. Just had to do some sanding to open up the barrel channel. I would assume that it would work the same with the thumb hole. You can search my post for a picture if you want.

Somewhat depends on the length of the barrel as I'm not sure if there is enough room to add weight to the buttstock if needed. You can definitely fit it, but if it's a longer barrel the rifle may be quite front heavy.

Mine is the same barrel in 243 and with the stock and scope its a balances well. It is heavier but not to bad to carry around.
