i dont have one of these yet, im still debating which 6.5 i might go with. barrel would probably be 26"
what are some real world velocities you guys are getting out of a 6.5x47 in a shilen, cbi or mcgowen just for ballistic comparison....
130gr or 140gr berger is what i would like to hear velocities on.
they say this is an easy to load for cartridge and H4350 is the go-to powder for it.
thanks in advance

I guess my first question would be why the 6.5x47? I prefer a few mm longer. I think your 8mm short….but then, I'm a sucker for the Swede. :)

BTW, using quality Norma or Lapua brass and RL-22, I can get the 140gr. bullet just over 2800fps from my modern action Savage rifle.

FWIW

why the 6.5x47? why not? Lapua brass, shoulder angle, short enough for a short action. It's just a jumbo 6br(love my 6br)

The 260 or 260ai is options as well. But how much velocity would I gain from them?
The swede just hasn't struck my interest.

just looking for velocities on anyones 6.5x47. if it cant push to the velocities that look good in the ballistic calculators then i might look at a bigger case...
