What's with all the Guests?

Ok, can someone explain to me why almost every evening we have anywhere from 300 to 600 guests viewing the forum?

HELLO.....ALL YOU GUESTS OUT THERE......IT'S FREE TO REGISTER!!!!

Then you can join in on the conversations rather than being some creepy forum voyeur.

On a serious note, IME members of various forums who spent some time lurking, and learning the etiquette of a given online community turn out to be better contributors later on.

But 600? Yeah, at some point you need to introduce yourself. ;)

could members who dont sign in be a factor?I think so. I did that a lot before I noticed I could automatically sign in. Before that I did not bother signing in if I did not post.

Yeah, that's a contributing factor as well.

Or there bots and not real.....

Bots I can account for as the system automatically recognizes them and labels them as such. As such I can deduct their numbers from the tally of guests currently online.
