BI joined the williamsport 1000 yard club earlier this year and yesterday my buddy.and I went out for our second go at a grand. I shoot 12 vlp in 300wsm and he shoots a 110ba in 338 lapua. After a getting sighted in we were consistant on the gong and moved to shooting clay pigeons. I love my savage. The.accuracy that is possible right out of the box is incredible.

accuarcy right outside of the box is (IMO) one of Savage,s trade marks.
I too love my Savage...so much so...I want another 3 or 4........dont tell the wife though.............

I too love my Savage...so much so...I want another 3 or 4........dont tell the wife though.............Beware what you wish for--it can lead to OCD-like illnesses!

For example, case-a-tosis. I have gobs of rifles and keeping track of all my fire-formed cases for each of my rifles has resulted in my house being over-run with preserve jars full of spent cases dated and typed for which rifle. If you are single guy like me--try explaining that to your friends or a date when they come over.

decision waffle syndromeWith so much to choose from--you may ironically not be ready when hunt season opens for the simple reason you can't make your mind up which to choose.

Rifle envywell, no explanation needed for that one.

It is definitely my ocd outlet!!! What caliber are you going to build your new action for? I keep thinking about getting a 243 AI barrel for one of my actions for some more 1k fun to go along with the 308

what you like might not be as important as whats winning tim. id be watching the better shooters and talking
to people like mark king for input. from what ive heard the 6mm dasher and various 30 cals are the ones to beat.

I shoot a 300wsm now. Im looking at the 260ai to save cost vs the wsm. I have no false visions of granger. I dont have the time, knowledge, skill, or money to be really competitive. I just wanna have a good time with my buddies and further on down the road when time and money allow maybe I can step it up.

its not the money.....the .243 and the 6.5 creedmoor both had an osprey 10-40x50 mildot scope on them. only this year towards the end i got the weaver t36 scope. we dont have a low buget, we have a NO buget. i do all the work myself, chambering, brakes, triggers, bedding.try to shoot just as good as the big boys if not better.team savage was only 3, but you make 4,so keep coming to the shoots and enjoy.
