I came across this video a few days ago:

The poster of the video from the comments section:

Factory Savage detachable bottom metal, with the conversion magazine assembly that I build using the H&K G3 steel magazine body. I can build them for the centerfeed, staggered feed, or side button release magazines. I charge $55 each plus shipping. Thanks!!

Looks like he is out of the magazine business.
I notice in the comments he states he modifies a BAR mag for long actions.

He has good looking ones for .308 and WSM based cartridges. Might be worth checking with him to see if he does/can. He's one HECK of a nice guy.

Yeah that almost makes it worth buying a CF short action. Unfortunately with my setup I need two long actions.

We do have a mini 14 in 6.8 SPC and I do have a high capacity mag for that but one of my rigs is recently being converted to 7mm mag for a long distance hog rifle and I would like to have more than 3 rounds in the mag.

Have you looked at the sharp shooter supply version?

Shame about the Dark Eagle stuff as I got a few parts off him a couple years back and they were nicely machined and finished.

If you can spare the cash the PT&G "Stealth" Bottom Metal looks like its available now and that takes the AICS mags.

The older side button release magazines can be welded to the BAR magazine body to make it a higher capacity magazine. The Dark Eagle magazine requires a centerfeed magazine, therefore will not work with what you currently have. You have a few choices, either create your own using the factory magazine welded to a modified BAR, or swap out bottom metals and magazines.
