I have a 4.27" short action blind mag .243 rifle. Can it be made into a detach mag rifle? Anyone have parts?
Have you done it with success or should i just look for a .243 center feed?

CDI Precision Savage Staggerfeed S/A DBM.

You'll need your stock inletted which CDI will do for $60 shipped back to you.

I personally dont know much about CDI. Do they offer a good product? Anyone had a stock inletted by them?

Yes, and yes.

I have two CDI Savage DBMs and one stock that Jeff inletted; both are exceedingly good to go.

I bought some factory takeoff parts from the classifieds here and built this nifty little carbine. It started out as a lefty staggered feed blind mag .243.
Now it's a detachable box mag .308 with a 16" braked barrel with a shortened up stock that has been converted from right to left handed.

The conversion was a piece of cake and I had a lot of fun building this little rig

I have 4.27 in 308 with the CDI bdm, in a Boyd's Thumbhole. I love it. Bought another for my 223.

hopefully I will be getting a CDI DBM for my staggered feed here in the next couple weeks. They are the only ones that I am aware of that make the dbm for the 4.275" receivers. And CDI is GTG. I have yet to hear anything negative about them at all. Good quality stuff and nice folks too.
