Savage and manners stocks.

I have a savage varmint action going in a manners stock.
What length action screws do i need. I'm reading that some people say the stock length ones are too short.

You can stick a long one in the hole and determine how much too long they are. Then cut them off or order them to length. I find that custom stock often require custom screws.

I buy hex drive 2 inch and 1 1/2 in stainless from msc and cut them to length and they are way less than what some places charge.Brownells gets almost 5 bucks for a single screw depending on what you want.
