Savage 10 TR + MAGTECH CBC Sniper 308 WIN 168 grn HPBT okay?

Hi all first post. Just picked up my Savage 10TR 24" 308. After I bought my Savage Mark II FV-SR 22Lr I just had to have its bigger brother. Well here's my question. I am looking for ammo to sight in the rifle with and my pickings are slim right now. I came across so Magtech CBC Sniper 308 Win 168 gr ammo how ever the box also says 7.62x51mm. I called savage and they said the don't recommend 7.62NATO ammo however I fail to let them know which brand of commercial ammo I was talking about. Has anyone shot this ammo in their 10TR or other 5R barreled rifle? The only other option I have found locally for ammo has been Hornady Match 150gr Steel cased ammo and some other brands in the 147-155gr weights.

I had some surplus stuff I wanted to use to simply send some copper thru my new savage to brk in barrel. The trig on my savage didnt have enuff force to light the mil spec primers...so needless to say I didnt send the rounds.
But imo....shoot-em up
you may be surprised how accurate they are

I would just hate to spend $60 on some ammo that will not shoot or could cause issues with my new 10Tr.
