Let me start with saying I am not buying your used brass. I dont care for used brass other than the brass I used myself. This is not a WTB ad...

Now that I have that out of the way, any of you carolinians care to share with me who had 22-250 brass? I prefer remington, not interested on any of that high dollar lapua, I can get that locally. I am in Charlotte and willing to drive to a store that is up to 2 hours away. So far I have looked in:
Hyatt
Little Hardware
Carolina Sportsman
Bass Pro shops Concord mills
Gander Mountain Mooresville

I have check online:
Midway
Natchez
Wideners
Midsouth shooter supply
Graf & Sons

And a couple of off the wall suppliers and no brass...

I have the 7mm rm and the 30-06 worked but the 22-250 is the only thing I have not dial in a load for this hunting season. I can live without using this rifle but I would love to use it. The brass I used during the early 4 stages of load development is shot out and cant use it safely anymore...

Thanks!!!

Wow, I did not realize that there was none of this out there. I just looked around at some of the odd ball suppliers that I deal with and even they don't have any.

Have not checked with them Charlie but they are a bit past my willing driving distance. I appreciate it... I cant believe that winchester lasted only 4 reloads..

Nandy, you must have gotten some of the same Winchester brass I did. My loads were at max listed on the 250 but used win brass and had primers literally falling out of brand new brass with pockets mic'ing at .011-.015. If I remember correctly none the less, I had bout 400 pieces to take prairie doggin and load developed I believe 60-80 rounds out of all 400 pieces I had 219 I could actually load used and new. I called Winchester and they made it right with me. Next time I buy 250 brass ill buy lapua or something of a little better quality. Didn't mean to hijack just wanted to share my experience. Might lead you to another avenue on your purchase. 100 pieces of brass that can be shot 10 times are worth more that 100 that only shoot twice. Jmho. Good luck

I'm not going the lapua route, at least not for now. I saw the privi and was about to pull the trigger but I hesitated as I don't know how good it is nor if I will be able to find it later. it is a possibility ...

I use it for 243, 25-06, and 260. The only complaint is it seems to be soft. I have only about 3x loaded some. So I have long term test results. But, grafs has carried it for quite a while now.

Can I ask what the opposition to Lapua is? It's cheaper in the long run by a wide margin in my experience, my batch has a bunch of loading a on them with full length sizing and no annealing and haven't scrapped a piece yet, and only 2 trimmings. My loads hammer primers pretty hard too and those are still nice and tight.

Now if you are going prairie dog hunting and want to take 500 loaded rounds, well then I understand wanting cheaper stuff...

right now I am not 100 percent sure I have a good load plus it is a hunting rifle, for now so it is hard for me to pay that much money for shells when k can get double the amount for less money. I have 100 Winchester shells for my 30-06. some are in their 3rd reload and some are in their 4th reload and still strong. I can see lapua in the far future if I ever get to shoot 300 and longer regularly but I don't now.

Do you still need brass? Local shop had some at $44 for 100. I am willing to pick it up and send it for whatever cost is. Don't want to make money but don't want to lose any either. Oh, it's Winchester.
