Does the factory test fire new rifles?

As the topic states. I bought a factory take off barrel. Got it mounted and went to clean it, what a pain. I had to clean it as if I got done firing a 100 rounds down it. We're patch, dry patch brush brush repeat, repeat, repeat etc. I thought it was excessive for an "unfired" tube.

Each rifle is shot with a proof load, and a magazine full for function fire. And no....they don't clean them.
