Savage 308 FTR out the Savage 12 Benchrest for FTR shooting? Does one have an advantage over the other?

Same twist, but one is 1" longer. Both have Accutrigger, both are target actions.......

I guess does one do better as far as tracking or the stock being more suitable for heavy barrel contour?

This will be used for 600 and 1000 Fclass, may put switch barrel on later for FOpen

Get the F/TR. you may end up modifying the bottom of the buttstock.

is the Fclass stock forend longer than the BR stock?

I read some reviews that the FTR stock has issues torqueing due to it's narrower forend?

NRA has a limit to the forearm width that BR doesn't.

what does that tell me? Are the forend lengths different? Thought both stocks have 3" wide forend

Just saying that you should make sure the stock you choose is compliant with the rules before you buy it.

All the Savage stocks are legal. Just not sure which might do "better"

And I just have to make weight, but that should be fine with any of the above
