I have a question about bore guides. I know the Lucas guide is the best but since it won't be ready for a number of weeks can I use a Sinclair guide in the meanwhile or will using this kind of guide result in damage during cleaning?

my opinion , they are really good guides.
I have 10 different Sinclair bore guides .
I don't think you can go wrong with a Sinclair bore guide.
I had a Lucas for a 9.3 X 62. it was good too.
using any bore guide is better than nothing

IMO the Lucas style guide is just a PIA. I use Sinclair/Possum Hollow guides, and they work great. When I shoot matches I see most shooters are using Sinclair guides, only a few use Lucas guides.
If you must have a Lucas style guide call Possum Hollow, and talk to Eric Sinclair they make a version of a guide that is similar to a Lucas guide, it is much less money, and you should have it in a couple of days.

That's great info, thanks.
Do they list their Lucas style guide on their Possum Hollow web site? Or do you have to special request it?

They have a ton of products that are not listed on the web site. Like a lot of small operation dealers. Give Eric a call.
