I find myself constantly looking for a custom hardwood stock for my savage. I can find endless stocks for 700's but nothing but tacticool stocks for savage rifles. I have checked out ths Sharp shooter supply stocks and I'm looking for more options

I am in the same boat. I thought I found some at rifle-stocks.com, but from what they say these stocks require a substantial amount of woodwork even though they claim 96% complete or 98% complete. I still haven't decided if it is worth the trouble or not.

Tim, There are different kinds of stocks and some makers excell in diffent things. Benchrest or Hunting. If hunting are you looking Monte Carlo, Straight Comb, Varmit or other etc....If you give us something to go on we will try and pont you in the right direction. I did a "Bing" search and came up with five pages for you to comb through.
