I need a bullet puller that a WSM case will fit in. These big fat cases will not fit inside the RCBS hammer, Frankfort Arsenal hammer of the Foster collet puller. 30 rounds of test loads were spilled and mixed :(

Get a RCBS Collet Bullet Puller
Midway has them. No mess.

You have had WSMs in it? These are .555 at the wide spot.

What he said. And get the extra collets for all your calibers. You won't regret it.
I've used mine on a .223 wssm & 7mm Rem Mag.

The rcbs bullet puller die is the best mistake corrector I have ever bought.

Hey Greg,
I ran into this same problem, and I found a solution. I used my hammer, but I modified it a bit. I put the shell holder out of my press on the end of the case, this allowed me to get enough of the case inside the hammer, and screw the cap on. I then rapped it, and the bullet came out. The case slid down a bit more into the hammer, so the first few I had to use a pair of plyers to pull on the shell holder, after 5 everything fit together and came apart with ease.

I'm not going to make any comments about "Primitive Pete"....

I think the 82 is a good guy.

A little crude, but a good guy.

Hey Greg,
I ran into this same problem, and I found a solution. Might as well try that while waiting! :)

OK, Upon taking it apart to remove the rubberband collet, I found I had burrs on the inside of the hammer keeping the cases from going in. Dremmeled the burrs and switched to the #5 shell holder and everything fit like a charm! I almost think this is faster or as fast as messing with that other thing that always wanted to turn sideways and jamb. I may never use it much again. Either way your taking the nut off to empty the tool.
Thanks Pat!

A little crude, but a good guy. Are you trying to say Mickey's paw prints are all over his house? Who knew that Disney rat was a true Red Neck!
