I know this subject has been beaten to death and that everyone has their own prerequisites for optics, but I am at a loss as to which scope to put on my new 12 FCV in 223.

Here is what I can tell you:
I already bought my bases and rings - Warne, the only brand I buy.
going to shoot mostly 55gr ammo thru it.
My ceiling for a scope is roughly $400.
This rifle will be used for anything and everything - coyote hunting, target shooting - mid to long range, maybe a whitetail too.

I am not a brand specific guy, so I am not partial one way or another, but I want something durable, stays set, has some sort of BDC and is clear.

These are some that I have narrowed down too:

Vortex Viper, 3.5x10-50 - BDC reticle
Vortec Diamondback - 4-12x40 BDC
Zeiss Conquest, 3.5-10x50 - Rapid Z reticle - if I can find one anymore
Burris E1, 3-9 x40 or 3-9x50 - Ballistic Plex E1
Redfield Revenge, 4-12x42 with Accu-Ranger reticle

Others on the maybe list:
Nikon Coyote Special, 4-12x40 BDC
Nikon Manoarch, 2.5-10x50 - BDC

Is there any others out there you guys would recommend or any of these you would steer me away from?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Allen
