I am looking where I can buy some wire so that I can replace the trigger spring with. Also not sure what kind of wire to use.

Thanks

Send Me your Info I will send you some, it's 0.40 SS spring wire, you can tell the difference right away, after installing it.

spring wire .040". Most hardware stores carry it. Mcmaster-Carr, hobby shops

Think im using .038" on most of mine

I have used .040 I now use .045 and polish. If you do decide to change your spring please be sure that you keep it tight and check it regularly. The sping must have enough preload to keep the trigger "shelf" against the sear when in the cocked position. If not the chance for unexpected firings goes way up. There is a lot of responsibility that goes along with lightening the pull weight of a non accutrigger savage trgger.

This is very accurate. Be sure to preload the spring and check to make sure the safety and all still work.

Ya dry firing It or with a spent piece of brass, a dozen times to make sure everything is fine is not a bad Idea. although this is just not plain wire it is actual spring wire there is a difference.

Dean makes a good point, some wire is spring wire meaning it is heat treated giving it memory and some is not.
