Cool!
I like it.
I've been a 6.8 fan for a LONG time.
I've currently got a franken AR built w/an ARP barrel and Adams Arms "lo pro" piston kit.

My AR 6.8 SPC II has an ARP 20 inch barrel. He states it is NOT match grade. But it sure shoots like it, less than 0.5 inch groups at 200 yards.

Hope this shoots as well.

Just curios why you went the 6.8? Nice build though, what do you intend to do with the rifle?

What IS THIS?? The cure for the "commoner's" rifle? Nooo...it's-

GUN PORN! And on Sunday mornin' too! Dang you for causing me to sin (covet)!

Really nice Bro! Post some targets so I can really be envious! :devilish:

Best wishes with that shootable artwork! Brian

When I ordered this barrel in 6.8 SPC II, I owned 3 22LR rifles, and an AR in 223 Wylde. Also had two ARs in 6.8. I have a lot of 6.8 brass.
With a bad shoulder I wanted a rifle that could be used for hogs and deer.

Since then I have added a 6.5 Creedmoor, which is at my limit on recoil, I can handle the recoil ft pounds, but not the recoil speed. I flinch horrible. I am pulling the bull barrel and getting it threaded for a muzzle break.

Added a Savage 10TR in 308, with a great muzzle break I can shoot this all day long. When shooting back to back I think the recoil is less than my new 6.8. Both are similar varmint profiles

I weighed my Savage 10TR (308) and my Savage 6.8 SPC II.
Had to take the bolts out to get under the 10 pound limit on my digital scale. Note that SSS fluted bolt saves .75 ounces

With scopes the 10TR weighs 10.7 pounds and the 6.8 SPC weighs 9.9 pounds. The Nikon weighs 17.6 ounces and the Sightmark on the 10TR weighs 28.4 ounces.

So rifles weigh nearly the same.

Next 6.8 SPC rifle in working stage now. Need to ream barrel to SPC II specs, clean up inside of stock for better receiver fit.
Yes I have another SSS fluted bolt. Still polishing the DBM and other stainless parts. Using Savage model 14 walnut stock with monte carlo cheekpiece.

Just what I was thinking. Classy.

And the coloring reminds me of a '67 Barracuda I had in an earlier time.

Good luck with it.
