My 6 MM BR Axis

Bought a 223 Axis. Found a good deal on a 6MM BR barrel. Thanks Drybean. Unscrewed the barrel, faced off the action for Savage 10/110 recoil lug, installed accutrigger, put it in a BSA bench rest stock. Thanks Stangfish. Made a single shot follower out of a piece of 1" aluminum pipe, pillar, bedded made bottom metal out of 3/8" aluminum with a Savage 10/110 trigger guard. If I do my part, it'll shoot .4's at 100 no problem.

No problem. Bet it shoots better than 4's once you get it tuned.

Sweeeeet! My totally stock 308 axis (except for new trigger and some stock reinforcement) has shot .3 MOA--so I'm SURE you'll do better than that! ; ) Beautiful work!

Good job JWW123...I love those BSA stocks. I have done 4 of them now.

What butt pad did you use?

i had a pachmayr grind to fit used the aluminum plate for a template

This was the route I was going to go originally looks real good. I like that you kept the stock very natural. Makes me want to get another axis to rebuild and make another great shooter.
