Is green tip LC ammo armor piercing/ 5.56-SS109

The SS 109 is a steel and lead core bullet.
It doesn't qualify as "Armour Piercing" by military spec.
I believe it is identified as an "Enhanced Penetration" round.
It was designed to penetrate 1 side of a steel helmet.

Thanks for the info, but is the bullet copper or steel or is the steel and lead copper clad

Standard jacket.
The core is part steel (front) and part lead (rear).
