Savage axis action vs 10 action.

What are the main differences between the axis and model 10 actions? I don't know a lot about the axis rifles but love my savage 10fcp. Thanks for the help guys!

The barrels are interchangable. The axis will look similar on the outside. Most people prefer the savage 10 - 16 and 110 - 116 models. Axis rifles can shoot well but are pretty basic without some modifications. Parts are not out there for the Axis like they are for the M 10 series

Thanks for the info! I'm at a gun raffle decoding what to buy tickets for and was thinking the axis would be good for a build but I wasn't sure what I was looking at. Thank again!
