My 17 year old daughter decided she wanted to shoot FT/R this summer so with the help of Bryan Litz and the Michigan FT/R team she was able to do so. I put together a very easy to build and affordable rifle for her to shoot(2 other children in house so money is all going somewhere) I used a Savage LRP repeater target action from NSS and also a CBI .308 bull barrel at 28 inch with .090 free bore from NSS. The stock is the factory HS precision with a Bradley adjustable cheek riser. Total cost of rifle under 1400.00 for everything including a Murphy 20 moa rail. She shot all summer at different events getting better each time out she set some national records at 600yds a couple of months ago, and just got done in New Mexico at the Nationals. She ended up High Junior with a 1228 out of 1300 score for the 3 days of individual shooting. She set a junior record for 20 shots at 1000yds with a score of 196-8. She will be shooting at worlds the rest of the week as a individual and team member. Just thought a shout out to a bunch of good people and vendors was in order. She is very happy with her Savage rifle and all the help she has received from her team.
