Ok guys I am new to the whole bolt action and savage stuff so take it easy on me. I just picked up a savage model 11xfp4. I knew nothing about them and was told it was a model 10 with a heavy barrel and B&C stock when i traded for it. Well how do I confirm the stock is a B&C stock? It looks like most in the pics but it doesn't have any markings at least that I can find. I will try and get pics in a few. The only reason I ask is because everything else I was told about the rifle is false. Thanks for any help guys.

pull action out of the stock and go to stockys and look up the model that fits your gun, then look at teh pictures, if the metal chassis inside looks like a B&C its probably a B&C.

If its an old B&C Duramaxx stock it wont have that chassis

My duramaxx stock has a solid butt section a thick recoil pad and an oval space on either side of the front screw hole. They were only made in stagger feed.
