Ok, this may be covered on a different post but I haven't done a search yet that has retrieved ANYTHING so I'm either slow on the uptake or there hasn't been anything posted about this subject.

I'm curious as to whether anyone has swapped out the bottom metal on their Model 12 LRP with the new HS Precision stock (PST053) for the CDI DBM and AI magazines? I just bought my rifle and I"m not in love with the stock bottom metal/magazine combo. The question is, if you have done it, is it a drop in or does it require modifications to the stock?

Yes, it is doable. The aluminum bedding block will have to be enlarged slightly to get the CDI system into the inletted portion. This is a DIY type situation, IF you are competant with hand tools, such as a dremel. It is possible to get the CDI system in place, and not have to mess with it too much to work. If you go slow enough and not over do it, you should be fine.

With my other rifle, simply inletting the sides to match the width of the CDI worked perfectly. The last one that I installed, took some bedding as well, to make sure it would feed the rounds correctly, 100% of the time. ABOVE ALL ELSE, TAKE YOUR TIME!!!!
