You got to love Savage for building the Hog Hunter. About a good a donor as you can get for a budget build. My action and barrel now sit in a B&C Tactical Medalist stock with DNZ one peice rings, Primary Arms FFP scope, Harris bipod, JPE compensator and Cerakote in Blue Titanium. Great shooter!

Sexy! Nice color choices- different but not overdone. The cerakote accents the stock nicely. A work of art!

LOL!!! Are you kidding me...an awesome donor build if you ask me. Savage should sell this action/barrel combo sans the stock. Glad to see someone else take advantage of this rifle deal. If you don't mind, tell all of us what you paid for the Hog out-the-door. I paid $425 including transfer and tax.
Also, what did you do with the small threaded holes left behind when you removed the sights.
Great work by the way. I may have missed it but what caliber is yours.

Thanks. I paid right around $500 for it locally. I filled the screw holes with JB weld sanded it down smooth before I blasted the barrel for the Cerakote. Never know they were there. I now have McGowen 26" 1:8 twist SS bull barrel in 22-250 for it to switch out for Coyotes.

That looks sweet! I love the stock. I got one question...what is that thing at the end of the stock that's keeping it elevated? Sorry for the stupid question I'm new to the whole long range rifles and everything

The scope is a Primary Arms 4-14x44 FFP mil dot. It's a nice optic and about as inexpensive you can get into an First Focal Plane scope.

I understand this scope is made under special contract for a few retailers from the same factory in China which uses better glass. The same scope but with a hash mark mil reticle is sold as a Midway exclusive under the BSA name.

It also looks just like the Falcon Menace which also may come from the same factory.
The BSA is a rebadged Falcon Menace, Marshall hasn't said if the Primary Arms scope is in fact made in the same factory, but he has stated that there are several differences IIRC. That said, hell of a scope for the money, whichever one you pick.

Very clean setup. Nice. If you ever shoot prone you may end up turning that front scope mount around and sliding that scope forward about 1.5"s. You may also want to move the level to the other side of the rear ring as well for more room. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I called Primary Arms last week and the gentleman I spoke to said the 4x14 FFP should be back in stock at the end of November.
I'm waiting to put on my H&S stocked Mod 10 :- )
