Hello all. I am new here.

I am going to send my model 10 tactical to MMI trutec to get treated. How many of you have done a barreled action before? I've used MMI to treat AR barrels, but never a barreled action.

What bolt parts did you send?

thanks

I have only ever done a barrel, I recently did a Lilja barrel on a 257 Roberts AI on a Remington 700 BDL action...not an action. Don't do the bolt unless you only do the bolt housing and no internal parts. Don't ever do a barrel before breaking in the barrel...

And be sure to clean it thoroughly as residue copper tends to do bad things after nitriding. Very thoroughly. I personally would maybe even check it with a borescope to be sure.
