Any tips for getting these screws flush to the contour of the barrel?

Here is what they were:

Here they are now:

Carefully contour them with good sharp file. Go slow and take light passes. You put can scotch tape on the barrel with holes cut for the screws to stick through. If the file touches the tape you within a few thousandths then you can draw file to smooth them up.

Picked up a diamond file set and got to work.

Some small shallows around the screw holes will easily be filled with a nice coat of Duracoat. Stay tuned.

I just filled mine with JB weld and sanded them down before Cerakote. Never know they were there but could easily be drilled out and retapped.
