View Full Version : Detachable box magazines on Savage model 10 .223 cal.and long bullets?

Do the detachable mags on a mdl 10 .223 have room for long bullets such as 69 and 77 grains?I had a Tikka .223 and you had to seat the bullet pretty deep so it would fit in the mag.

I seat my 69s to 2.380" and there is still a bit of room left.

I'm not really wild about the detachable mag.Is there any BIG difference in the model 10 precision carbine,and the Predator Hunter Brush?I can get a Predator hunter for about $630 OTD and the Precision is about $25 higher.
