First post. Picked up a Savage 93 22WMR and Mueller APV. Burris Med. height zee rings wouldn't work, objective bell hit the barrel. I have high rings on now with a quarter inch clearance but using a boresighter at 20 yrds my elevation is maxed all the way out.
Planning a range trip in a couple days.
Any way to easily correct this? Thanks.

shoot it and find out where it's shooting at for real. Sometimes the boresighting isn't all it's made out to be.

I agree. You can pull the bolt out and look down the barrel and try to match the crosshairs on your scope with what you see through your barrel.

If you still have the problem make sure that both of your rings are the same hight.

If they are Signature Zee rings, check your inserts, perhaps you have it all tilted awry.

I agree with all of the above. Also...remember when your bore sighting, when you look down the barrel and you want to adjust your crosshairs, if you want your scope cross hairs to come up....then you turn the screw towards the down setting. And when you want your crosshairs to go down, screw them towards the up position. (Yeah....really!!)

Yeah my bore sighter is off center, when you rotate it in the barrel the dot moves 8-10 inches, completely useless. Range tomorrow.

Bore sight at a farther distance.....aleast 50 yards....that's what I did with my 93.....
