Nice pistol Apache!
Don't toss that .243 barrel too quick, I had super luck with mine.
Honest question you guys...what do you do with these? What is the attraction/ advantage over a rifle? Just for kicks?
Here's what I did -

Nice!!!
But the 243 is just so.........plane!!!!! ;) :p
When I can do a 6.5x47L or 6mmx47L or a 22-243 Middlestead or 250 AI Savage or..........I love wildcats.
But you can buy other barrels for those. Everyone needs a .243 in their safe!!
I'm thinking that my next barrel will be a 6.5-284. Then maybe go for the wildcat
22-.500 NE LOL

I love wildcats too but my 2 most accurate Striker barrels were the above pictured .243 and a factory fluted stainless .308. You should at least shoot the .243 before you junk it :)

I don't know........that 22-.500NE has got me thinking......;)
I may keep it and try it out but it'll be later rather than sooner. As many barrels as I have I don't have to worry about NOT having something to screw on that action. My main reason for getting a Striker was for a 6.5x47 Pistol to try hunting with.........that and set it up for PD's if I ever get to make the trip for those vermin some day.
Just have to make sure I bring my two big .50 calibers for back up in case one of those crazy red eyed bull PD's are out.

The 243 is like the Kia Rio of calibers. It gets the job done, but where's the shock and awe? Life's too short to shoot boring (but effective ;)) calibers!
Andrew
PD I have heard can be awfully dangerous, but you haven't seen our Sagerats! Now those are some snarley vicious monsters! Way more dangerous the PD's. .243 is the only caliber that can put them down before they are all over you! :-D

I've heard they attack in herds all at one time........it's takes nerves of steel to stand there when the whole herd spots you...........so I've heard.
Now you know why I want that 22-.500NE barrel for my Striker! :-)
