Did savage ever make the LRPV in 308?

Hmm.. Google only hints at a .308 LRPV but it does show that a few folk have converted them into .308.

One had his for sale back in 2008 and stated that it was a Custom option from Savage....

If you were looking at to get one it may be a change over job or order direct depending on funds....

Does Savage make custom animals such as this? Is there a specific contact I would call?

No idea as I live in NZ but I would contact customer services and go from there... If I lived in the USA I would be calling them quite a bit!!

If you are not shooting in F/TR class then the current LRP (no "V") is offered in .243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor and .260 Rem. Small diffences between the LRP and LRPV. "V" is stainless non fluted while non "V" is all matte with fluted bull barrel and DBM. Same action and stock.
