Ok guys, I've assigned Thomae the task of putting together a FAQ article that will cover the different DBM arrangements on the 110-series rifles as well as what aftermarket conversions and hi-cap magazine options are available. With that in mind we need some photographic assistance from the member base so we can visually represent all of the stock configurations as well as the aftermarket options.

For the stock 110 configurations we need photo's of the following:

- DBM with metal bottom surround and magazine with metal bottom plate
- DBM with plastic bottom surround plate and Axis style magazine
- DBM with molded in bottom surround and Axis style magazine

For the aftermarket configurations we need photo's of the following:

- CDI's DBM Kit
- Accurate Mag's DBM Kit
- Any other kits that replace the factory bottom metal and magazine

We will need clean, clear photo's with uncluttered backgrounds (we don't want to see your messy workbench) that show the bottom of the stock with the magazine hardware and the magazine itself. Best option would be to take the photo on your dining table or the floor. Here's a couple examples of what we're looking for in terms of pics:

Is there a place where we can find out what abreviations mean? DBM?
Thanks;
joe b.

Here are a few pics of the DBM from my 111fcxp3 270win. Hope these are acceptable. This is the type of thread that made me become a member. I notice from the pics MrFurious posted of the axis style DBM that the box portion of the mag appears to be the same as mine, only the bottom plate seams to be different. I am working on making a magazine extension that will attach to the original mag so avoiding the issues of creating feed lips and the mag release notches

Linky's no worky. As for the extension that replaces the bottom plate of the magazine, SSS and others have already been there and done that.

I think I fixed the links... The external photo linking is kind of a pain.
I have searched around a lot for commercially available magazine extensions or higher cap mags for this rifle and have found nothing with the exception of a guy doing extensions using BAR mags.
The only ones I've seen on the SSS website are for the short action 308 type cartridges.
