Recoil lug?

I am getting ready to install a Benchmark barrel I obtained through a trade and I was wondering how much do I "need" a machined recoil lug?

Since you're already gonna have the thing apart, it's cheap insurance. It might not make much difference but piece of mind can be priceless.

do you have a way to precisely grind that lug parallel?

you have stainless in there now? there a little thicker then blued, but still stamped. a new one adds piece of mind to a custom job and warm fuzzys that you did all you can.

Yeah this one is blued, the next project which is a LRPV, does it need one?
