I am in the process of building a 260 on a 110 action to get into LR shooting. I knew I needed a good range finder and the majority suggested the 1600B. I got a hell of a deal on a brand new one......675 bucks shipped to my door and it showed up today. This thing is sweet!

I now hate you. And hate is such a strong word. However...those Lieca's are not good at all...I'll trade you my Leupold Rx...something, something something for it. Just to protect your fragile ego from being harmed by more people hating you.

What a guy I am.

Ok....I can tell your not buying into my program. Give us a range report on how it reads at 1,000 yards.

Once I get it to 1000 I will report back.

I took the 1600B out yesterday to test it out. I ranged a cow @ 545 yards, the bank of a water hole @ 941 yards and car @ 1173 yards. It was really windy and had trouble holding it steady, but once I got a good hold it was reporting the ranges instantly.

This thing is awesome.

To anyone that is wondering, kingzero can send his 1600b to me and I'll test it against my 1600 and I'll let everyone know the results.

leica is the best buy in a rangefinder for under $1000.
i have a swarovski (my 2nd one) and i wouldnt reccomend one.
the leica has a narrower beam width which seems to be better.
mine works well up to about 700 yds. beyond that not as good.
beyond 1000 not consistant enough for me to rely on. i still use my
old military coincedence rangefinder most.

Yeah......I bought a Leupold RX something and it's good out to about 600 yards. Anything beyond that and you may as well close your eyes and pull the trigger. (Not for real.....just in a WTS kind of way)

I bought a 1600B last year and took it to Wyoming on a pronghorn hunt. In decent conditions the Leica would range to 1100 on antelope easily. I could sit in camp just before the sun set and range a rock at 1993 yards. I talked my son-in-law into buying one so I could try it out before spending the money!
