Just loaded some 243's up with H4350 and 95gr Partitions and CCI 200's. Anyone have any experience with some or all of this combo?

I believe that you have the best powder for use in a .243, using the heavier bullets. The last 95's I shot out of my .243 were SST's in front of 41.1gr. I can't remember the velocity but do recall that it was an accurate load.

I wish I had a few pounds of H4350. Hard to find.

I have loaded about 40 of them at various lengths and powder charges, to take to the range and see which one the rifle likes best.

Have you tried RL17 as a substitute, anything that shoots good with H4350 will shoot great with RL17,

No I haven't, and I also do not have a lot of the 4350 either. I have slightly over one pound left . This mess of ammo and reloading supply hoarding is really getting old.

I have a fair supply of Varget, so it will be my main powder soon. I need to keep the 4350 for my '06 loads. Hopefully some will come available soon.

I'll give it a try. Haven't seen much of it around either though. Thanks bud.

Hybrid HV 100 works really well also in your application, if you can't find the 4350 or the RL17, after you have tried it you might even stick with it.

Nosler 95gr Partition, 41.2 gr H4350, CCI 200 primer, COL 2.676 (.020 off lands), 2980 fps, ES 41, SD 20, 0.750" 3-shot group @ 100 yards. Not a particularly fast load but a really great youth whitetail load. My son's rifle is a Savage model 10 with 1:9.25 twist.

Yes, I have tried it. Working very well in one rifle but not the other. H4350 worked in both with the same load. Getting really great velocity with the Hybrid 100V.

My last "batch" I put together was 20 rounds using H4350. Got good results with it too! 1.75" @ 200 yds.

If you care to try it, it was

40.1 grns of H4350
95 grn Berger vld hunting
CCI 200 primers
OAL was 2.775

I don't have a velocity reading on them, but I was rather surprised with the outcome as it was a decent cross wind that day (15 kph gusting to 20 kph).

In response to the "low supply" of the H 4350, I have taken to trying the H380 and Superformance (it's actually a slower powder than the H4350 and H380). neither of them I have used with the 95 grns yet, but I did have decent luck with the H380 and 80 grn Nosler varmints. Figured what the hell.... gotta find a sub sometime!

Yea I doubt the Partitions would ever group that well, they are not known for stellar accuracy, but anything 1.5" or less will make me happy.

This will be for 2 of my Savages. One of them is my old J series that loved the 85gr BTHP Sierra Gameking bullet, but I wanted a little tougher bullet in case I have to take a shoulder shot. The shoulder is a last resort, but I won't risk going deer-less if that is my only choice.

Good to see the other loads here. Lots to try.
