To convert, just change to a WSM pushfeed bolt face and remove the standing ejector from your action. You can also use a converted LA-Magnum bolt face, but it must be shortened. There is a thread with pics here someplace, in the "Savage FAQ" section IIRC. With a CF mag it would feed well as Savage changed to pushfeed with the CF mags. They went CRF with the older SF mags to get it to feed the WSMs.

So i thought mine was considered centerfeed with the detachable mag?the new ones now are push feed then?

My understanding is that the earlier WSM rifles were SF and they utilized CRF to get them to feed properly. Later when they went to the CF magazines the CRF was unnecessary as the CF would allow the pushfeed to reliably feed the WSMs. Now I would not be suprised if there was an overlap time where they used CRF with the CF before they went strictly pushfeed, that I am not sure and hopefully a member with that knowledge can chime in.

I would give SSS a call. You could also check Numerich's website www.gunpartscorp.com. What may be simpler is buy a LA-Magnum boltface (like for a 7RM or a 300WM) and just shorten it. The rear "stem" just needs to be shortened for it to work IIRC, and of course reheadspace. A local machine shop could do the shortening for you easily. There is a thread here someplace that shows the difference. I think I have a SA and LA head in my parts that I can measure for you and get the dimensions. I'll try to check tomorrow.
