model 11fcxp scope mounts

i recently purchased a model 11fcxp, i bought it as a combo but knew the scope on it was junk, so i purchased a vortex scope and leupold base and rings, the base said (std. fits model 10-16) when i got all the parts i went to put them on but could not get no where near enough moa out of the scope to even bring it up on the boresighter, the only thing i can think of is the base is for some reason wrong, what else could it be?, also i have decided to put pictianny mounts on it since a std. didnt work but i got on murphys precision and it said model 11 acutrigger models only what is the differance and why cant i get anything aftermarket to work on this gun? thanks for all the help.

Not sure why the leupold mounts would give you a problem. I have a 111 fxcp3. I too replaced the scope with a vortex. I used Burris Tactical bases they fit perfect. I went with Burris Zee signature rings and had no problems. Sounds like the bases to me. Can you return them? The bases I mentioned are $15.99 plus shipping from optics planet. I think I paid $23.00 total.

More than likely your reciever is warped and you need to raise the rear. Easiest best method is Burris Signature rings on your Leupold bases. Use a +/- 20 pair in the back and you will be good to go
