Model 10 Precision carbine Barrel nut?

Looking at a model 10 pc as the reveiws have been excellent. I noticed the barrel nut changed to a smooth appearence. How hard would a barrel swap be? Are these just smooth barrel nuts or would the gun have to go to a gunsmith?

Smooth barrel nuts can be removed with a pipe wrench ;) or the new wrench from S.S.S. and replaced with the old style grooved nut. The threads are the same.
