Hi guys I'm a new member. Just purchased .308 axis at Wal-Mart. Couldn't pass up $277 especially since I've seen them shoot. Will use it for Silhouette Shooting up to 200 meters. I already use a Savage .22 for Silhouette in the rim fire category up to 100 meters. Great rifle.
I'm ordering a Bushnell Elite 3200 10 x 40. It's a 1" scope. I'd like to use Warne Maxima fixed mount rings. I use them on the 22lr & like them. My best estimate says I could use the 201's which are the medium ring that raises the bottom of the scope to .375". It should give me an extra .125" plus a bit more clearance which should cover the scope covers. Did I do my math correctly? Any other suggestions?
