Hey Team,
Hoping this post goes through, my last one seems to have been deleted accidentally... I was hoping to get some advice from everyone on what the best glass is in the $450-$800 range for my new Model 10 FCP-K chambered in 308. I just picked this puppy up online this weekend. I'd like to use it for hog/deer hunting at 50-100 yards, as well as paper punching and pretending I'm a sniper at 500+ yards (if I ever get that good, I understand there's quite a bit of practice involved to get out that far).
My question is, what is the best glass for these goals? I have never owned a bolt action rifle before, this will be my first. Here's one I'm looking at: http://www.nikonsportoptics.com/en/Nikon-Products/Riflescopes/8495/M-308-4-16x42-BDC-800.html#tab-ProductDetail-ProductTabs-RatingsReviews
Not sure if that's any good... Not really sure of anything related to optics at this point. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks everyone,
